BJP gets unassailable lead of 15,900 votes in Jind by-election

Jind, Jan 31: In the Ramgarh assembly by-election in Rajasthan, the Congress has won by 12228 votes. Congress candidate Shafiia Zubair got 83311 votes while BJP candidate Sukhwant Singh got 7,1083 votes. On the other hand, the result of Haryana s Jind Assembly by-election is also going to come in a while. Counting is continuing. In Jind, 21 candidates are trying their luck.



20 candidates, including two women, were in the fray for the Ramgarh seat. With this, the seats of Congress in Rajasthan have increased from 99 to 100. There are a total of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. The first 199 seats were held in which Congress won 99 seats. Now after winning the by-election, there has been a total of 100 seats in the state.



BJP candidate Krishna Middha is now leading 15,900 votes in Haryana s Jind, followed by Jannayak Janta Party s (JJP) 27-year-old Digvijay Chautala. Congress s heavyweight Randeep Singh Surjewala is trailing number three. The Jind bypoll was necessitated following the death of INLD MLA Hari Chand Middha, BJP candidate s father.
