Gupteshwar Pandey as new Bihar DGP

New Delhi,Jan 31: The name of the new head of Bihar Police has been announced. According to the notification issued by the Home Department, Gupteshwar Pandey has been made the new DGP of Bihar. He is a 1987 batch IPS officer and is currently in the rank of DG training

Pandey will succeed S.K. Dwivedi who retires on Thursday. Pandey until now headed the Bihar Police Academy and Bihar Military Police.

According to information, Gupteeshwar Pandey will take charge this evening. Talking to media as soon as its name was announced , he said that croaking crime would be his first priority.
