'Manikarnika' moving towards 100 crore mark

Mumbai, Jan 28: Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an epic biographical period drama film based on the life of the Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, featuring Kangana Ranaut in the title role.

Directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut the film is produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti. Kangana s look in Rani Laxmi bhai is all praised over there and teaser, trailer cut of the film created lot of interest in waiting for th e film to watch.

The film which was released on 3700 screens in 50 countries worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 25th 2019 had received well by the critics and the audiences with the appraciation directed especially towards Ranaut s performance.

Being a female centric film, the movie grossed 46 crores in just 3 days which is near to the half-century. The movie has been breaking the box office with its collections in overseas too. And there is talk that within no time the film will be notifying the Rs. 100 crore mark.

A special screening of the film was organized by Zee Entertainment for Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Cultural Centre on 18 January in presence of Kangana Ranaut and her team before release of the film on 25 January 2019. After watching the film the President felicitated the artists and crew of the film.
