5th day Highlights of Chandi Yagam

Hyderabad, January 26: TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao s Sahasra Chandi Yagam has ended on Friday with ‘Purnahuti’ rituals, the Yagam was conducted in five days at Erravalli.

Chandrasekhar Rao conducted the Yagam along with his wife and members of his family during the rituals.

The ‘Purnahuti’ rituals were performed at the eight mandapams where the Yagam was held over the past five days. The rituals were conducted at the Rajasyamala, Bagalamukhi, Navagraha, Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, Atharvana Veda Mandapams. At the Bagalamukhi Devi Mandapam chanted “Jaya Peetambaradharini, Divya Vedokta Mahaneerajanam Samarpayami.” Purnahuti was also performed at the Maharudra and Chaturveda mandapams.


After the completion of Yagam, Chief Minister and his wife honored all the Rithviks and received their blessings, the Chief Minister undertook the Yagam seeking divine blessings for the welfare of the country and its people. It is believed that conducting a Yagam seeking Chandimata’s blessings ensures the prosperity of the land and its people.
