One More Big Cat Killed in Kawal Tiger reserve, Adilabad

One more big cat was dead in hand of greedy people in Kawal Tiger reserve in Adilabad. The officials took the culprits and the tiger skin that they were trying to sell into custody.



This is the 2nd tight that was been killed since last one month. In the first week of Jan 2019, Forest officials along with the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and Traffic India has seized a tiger skin in the same area. Officers say that at least 11 tigers were been missing from the reserve, and afraid of losing the remaining.



The latest instance came into light on Thursday evening when activists of the NGO Tiger Hunting End Association (THEA), with the help of foresters, approached the poachers as prospective buyers wanting a tiger skin for some pooja. Its found that the sellers demand more than one lakh.



Mancherial forest divisional officer Venkateswara Rao said that The NGO approached the culprits as part of a sting operation and caught one of the gang members in the sting operation, who named himself as Mekala Narsaiah, a resident of Ramaraopalli.
