Amaravati, January 25: Kiran Bedi, the first woman IPS officer in India and Puducherry LT Governor has rejected the proposal of appointing her as Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
Clearly, she said that she doesn’t have any intention to contest in Lok Sabha elections.
The former IPS officer said, “I would like to remain in administration. I don’t have any interest in politics. There’s no truth in news about contesting in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
Earlier, there was a rumor that the Centre might consider the name of retired IAS officer C V S K Sarma, who was the special chief secretary during the YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy regimes.
Now we have to wait and see, who will be Governor for AP.
