We need highway roads... Vinod Kumar asks Gadkari

Hyderabad, January 22: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was busy in Chandi Yagam, on the other hand, he also wants to develop the roadways of the state, he wants to see the roads smooth like a mirror.

As we know that, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief who took over the post of chief minister of Telangana for the second time on December 13, conducted a review meeting at Pragati Bhawan of Hyderabad, and instructed concerned officers saying that " in the coming two years every road in Telangana should look like a mirror."

In this regard TRS MP B Vinod Kumar on Tuesday demanded the Centre to speed up the laying of roads sanctioned in Telangana. Facing a press conference at Telangana Bhawan, Vinod said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced new national highways for Andhra Pradesh but no new roads for Telangana.

"We don t have objection for the announcement of roads for Andhra Pradesh but the Centre should provide roads as promised in Bifurcation Act," said Vinod.

The TRS leaders also informed about the laying roads in Telangana to the center. Telangana was given 1380 km as national highways, he said alleging that these were not even the average of national highways.
