Huge Set back to Congress as Vanteru to Join in TRS

Hyderabad, January 14: Congress party in the Telugu States like Telangana is likely to receive another setback as the senior leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy has made all the arrangements to switch his loyalties to Telangana Rashtra Samithi.We all knew that Pratap Reddy contested on TRS party President KCR in Gajwel assembly constituency during 2014 and 2018 elections. Pratap Reddy s joining in TRS party has been confirmed by his son.

Coming to more details, Pratap Reddy will join TRS on Jan 18th in the presence of Chief Minister KCR at Pragathi Bhavan, Hyderabad. His entry into TRS party will be a shot in the arm for the pink party in Medak.

After joining National Party Congress from Telugu Desam Party in May last year, Pratap Reddy was fielded as the Mahakutami candidate from Gajwel assembly segment. He bagged the second position by gaining 67,154 votes and lost to KCR by 58,290 votes. During the election battle, Mr. Reddy alleged that TRS is harrassing and intimidating him with the help of cops and distributing huge money to the voters.
