Virat Kohli surpasses Kumar Sangakkara

Adelaide, January 15: In the 2nd ODI between India and Australia, Indian captain Virat Kohli slammed his 39th ODI century at the Adelaide Oval. Chasing a mammoth 299-run target, Kohli put India in driver s seat as he reached the three-figure mark in the 43rd over of the innings. The Indian Skipper took a double off Peter Siddle s bowling towards midwicket to complete his ton.

From this aspect, Kohli (64) has overpassed Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara (63) to take the third spot in the list of batsmen with the most number of international centuries with only Ricky Ponting (71) and Sachin Tendulkar (100) ahead of him.
