Big News..Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar to replace KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya

Mumbai, January 13: Here is the latest news that, The All-India Senior Selection Committee has decided to send all-rounder Vijay Shankar and batsman Shubman Gill as replacements for suspended young cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul .

From this aspect, Vijay Shankar will join the team before the start of the 2nd ODI in Adelaide. He will be a part of the squad for the ODI series in Australia and the tour to New Zealand. Shubman Gill has been picked for the ODI and T20I series in New Zealand.

Coming to more details, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya are scheduled to return home from Australia having been suspended pending an inquiry into their sexist comments on a TV show. The duo has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia.

This is the first time 19-year-old Gill has been included in India’s limited-overs’ squad. He had an impressive first-class season, wherein he has racked up more than 1000 runs in 9 matches. He had equally outstanding Ranji Trophy where he slammed 790 runs in 10 innings at a Bradmanseque average of 98.75.

We all knew that, India lost the first match against Australia in a three match rubber.
