'Peta' distributor is in trouble

Hyderabad, January 12: Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Peta has been released in both Telugu states Andhra and Telangana and running in theaters with mixed reviews. The film is directed by Karthik Subba Raju. Before the release of Peta , no distributor shown any interest to release Peta in Telugu states for Sankranthi season thinking that there would be a big threat from Telugu movies which are stood in the race of Sankranti.

At last, Ashok Vallabhaneni took theatrical rights with an economical price of Rs.12 crores. After all going through the collections trend, the paid amount itself is a big number to be recovered.

Reportedly, Peta collected Rs.1.60 crores on its first day in Telugu states while the film crashed down to Rs.40 lakhs share on day two, which took the sum of Rs.2 crores for two days. The film needs a long way to reach break even. Meanwhile, Petta collected worldwide share Rs.19 crores including all versions.
