New Delhi, January 12: Here is the breaking news that, Ace banker Meera Sanyal who joined the Aam Aadmi Party to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections died on Friday.

According to the details, the AAP leader Ankit Lal said on Twitter she was suffering from cancer for two years before she passed away on Friday night.

From this aspect, Several AAP leaders and commentators took to Twitter to express shock at the sudden demise of Sanyal.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, too, took to Twitter and said, "Extremely sad to hear this. No words to express."

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia confirmed the death in a tweet.

Sisodia wrote on Twitter, "I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of Meera Sanyal. The country has lost a sharp economic brain and a gentle soul. May she rest in peace! You will forever remain in our hearts."
