Five-day Chandi Yagam: KCR

Hyderabad, January 12: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao planning to conduct five-day ‘Maha Rudra Sahitha Sahasra Chandi Yagam’ seeking blessings of Goddess Chandi for welfare and well-being of people of Telangana.

Wherever this Yagam is performed, there would not be any distress, untimely deaths and farmers will be blessed with abundant crops.


The Yagam is scheduled to be performed at the Chief Minister’s farmhouse in Erravelli in Siddipet district from January 21 to 25. Nearly 200 Vedic priests are learned to be participating in the ritual. The Yagashala is said to be nearing completion and arrangements are being made to invite several seers and priests for the event.

KCR had performed Ayutha Chandi Yagam in 2015 after the forming the government in the newly formed state. Later in 2018, he performed Rajasyamala Yagam before the assembly elections in Telangana.
