GHMC's crucial decisions

Hyderabad, January 11: Amazing decision by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) here on Thursday, the GHMC officials planning to arrange 10 refrigerators across the city where leftover food from functions and hotels could be stored and distributed to the poor and needy was approved by the Standing Committee.

Bonthu Rammohan, who is the Mayor of GHMC also approved to a proposal to acquire 21 properties for the widening of the carriageway to 30 meters on the Anandbagh Railway crossing road.

It was also decided to pay Rs.5.13 crore towards compensation for seven property owners for land acquisition for the Kamineni-LB Nagar Junction multi-level flyover.

During the meeting, the committee also approved the civic body’s draft budget of Rs.6,150 crore for the financial year 2019-20.
