Supreme court Declined petition against Sabarimala ??

New Delhi, January 03: The purification issue of the Sabarimala temple following the entry of two women was raised, the Supreme Court refused to hear urgently the contempt petitions against the chief priest of the Sabarimala in Kerala.

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi said that the matter has already been fixed for January 22 and that he sees no need to advance the date of the hearing now. Appearing for two women petitioners, advocate PV Dinesh desired to advise the Cheif Justice of India about the urgency of the appeal.

"We have fixed all the matters on January 22. The bench has been constituted. We don t believe in scheduling and rescheduling cases and benches like this," said the CJI
