VIP Darshan Restricted in Tirumala on New Year's Eve.

Tirupati, December 31: The Richest Hindu Temple Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is all set to witness a huge rush to Lord Venkateshwara temple on the New Year s Eve and decided to restrict the VIP Darshanam on January 1st. As they could not cancel some of the VIP invitations all the VIPs and VVIPs are allowed to Darshanam from 2 am to 4:30 am in the temple. The VIP Darshanam generally happens from 4:30 am on regular basis it is now restricted and pushed. All the break and afternoon darshans are canceled.


The Saevadarshanam for all common people will start from 4:30 am on January 1st. Speaking to reporters, Tirumala in-charge joint executive officer Pola Bhaskar said VIPs and VVIPs will be allowed darshan from 2 am to 4:30 am before the regular devotees are allowed, following which all such special privileges will be suspended. The TTD also canceled special darshans for the aged and people with physical disabilities.

He also said, “We want to give top priority to common devotees, and for that, we have planned to commence the Sarva darshan line from 4.30 am itself on January 1.”


The security has been beefed up and special seva's are asked to take charge. Tirumala Temple is expected to witness massive crowds of over 2 lakh on New Year s Eve.
