Latest Update on Panchayat Elections

Hyderabad, December 20: Here is the latest news that, The conduct of Panchayat elections in Telangana might be delayed as the reservations pertaining to the elections has not confirmed yet. On the other hand, the Panchayat Raj department directed the district collectors to confirm the reservations by December 29.

As the elections will be held in three phases, it might take February to end up the process. It is also learned that the list sent by the collectors will have to go for verification for the release of gazette notification. It will be then sent to election commission for deploying of election officials.

According to the election commission, the end of an election phase takes 15 days. The release of election notification, nomination process and verification takes a long process which might take the first week of February, it is learned
