Who is stopping TFI in Vizag

Amaravati, Nov 22: CM Chandrababu Naidu promised to establish Film Industry on par with that of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. While Vizag was preferred for Film Industry, Vijayawada, Vizag and Tirupati have been preferred for IT Industry.

So far, Nothing much has been done by AP Government for the development of Film Industry in AP. Most of the statements issued by AP Film Development Corporation (APFDC) haven t been implemented till date.

Is Chandrababu Naidu really committed to establish Tollywood in AP? Some Film Personalities disclose that there seems to be no such agenda at all. Some people say, TFI migrated to Hyderabad from Madras due to language issue. There is no such necessity now as all of us are Telugus. Others believe it s not difficult or impossible at all if the State Government is really serious about it.

Recently, Tupaki Team contacted few Film Personalities in Vizag. None of them expressed the view that concrete steps have been taken by the Government. Few years ago, A Mega Producer thought of setting up studio in Visakha. He, however, withdrawn the idea realizing State Government isn t serious about developing Film Industry in the port city.

A Studio Owner-cum-Exhibitor-cum-Distributor-cum-Top Producer opined AP Government lacks the commitment to set up Film Industry in the state. Film Industry in Hyderabad is creating employment for lakhs of people. Why don t TDP Govt see it as an opportunity to create employment?

Some Film Celebs didn t hesitate to say that TDP Govt is the biggest hurdle for Film Industry in AP. When MP Murali Mohan was quizzed about the new Film Industry, He told Govt planned it in Vizag but claimed to be unaware of any progress on that front.

First of all, State Government should come forward to offer Lands and Incentives to encourage those who wish to establish Studios. Unfortunately, Nothing much happened so far other than release of press notes.
