PM Modi, Shinzo Abe hold delegation level talks

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday invited Japanese businessmen to engage more with India to speed up the investment process in New Delhi.coming to detailes, "I always talk about 'strong India strong Japan'. On this occasion, I express my gratitude towards Japanese businessmen to show their faith in India. I invite you all to engage with India to speed up investment process there," Modi said while interacting at the Business Forum Summit here.Modi, who is in Japan for the 13th India-Japan annual summit, met his counterpart Shinzo Abe and held informal talks with him. Abe who called Modi one of his “most dependable friends,” hosted him at a personal villa near Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi for a private dinner. PM Modi is the only foreign political leader to have received the invitation. The duo also visited a factory, took a train ride together. The two prime ministers spent about eight hours together, MEA officials said.In Tokyo, both the leaders will hold a formal summit, during which economic cooperation and strengthening bilateral security is expected to be high on the agenda. Issues related to defence, regional security and the situation in the Indo-Pacific region is also likely to be discussed.
