Pune, Oct 28: West Indies Captain Jason Holder scripted a memorable comeback to beat Virat Kohli’s India by 43 runs in the third ODI here on Saturday. With this, the series is now level at 1-1 with the second match being tied.

Coming to details, Needing a target of 284, the hosts lost Rohit Sharma (8 runs) early. Shikhar Dhawan (35) was the next to depart, having put up a 79-run partnership with Virat Kohli.

King Kohli then went onto score his 38th ODI century, becoming the first batsman to hit a century in four back-to-back innings against a particular opponent.

However, the big moment for the visitors came when Marlon Samuels saw off the centurion in the 42nd over of the innings.

During the course of the innings, Kohli had put up a 22-run partnership with MS Dhoni (7).

Samuels (3/12) ended up as Windies’ top wicket-taker, whereas Jason Holder (2/46), Ashley Nurse (2/43) and Obed McCoy (2/38) also played their crucial roles. Kemar Roach finished his 10-over spell with 1-48.
