AndhraPradesh, Dec 5 : Among the 10 of 13 districts, not even single aged person didn t receive their monthly pension. The same situation faced by the widows and the people of disabled. Due to the heavy cash crunch the major effect fell on poor people who could not stand long hours infront of the banks and ATMs to draw their very few money. They solely depend on the monthly pension as thier income which has been granted by the state government to purchase their daily needs and medicines.The elderly people and widows get Rs.1000 and the disabled get Rs.1500 every month. Noticing the situation Ajay Kallam, the Special chief secretary requested CM of AP to lobby with RBI for release of Rs.450 crore to the pensions of the poor.A woman named Ch balakotamma aged 70 said "I went to the bank twice in the last three days and returned home empty handed unable to stand for long hours. I don t know when the situation will ease,".The Krishna district Collector Babu stay calm due to the cash crisis.
