CM KCR sanctions Rs.50 Crores for Jahangir Peer Dargah

Hyderabad, Nov 11: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made a visit to Jahangir Peer Dargah at Kottur in Ranga Reddy district here on Friday and announced Rs 50 crore for its development.While addressing a gathering outside the Dargah, the Chief Minister announced Rs 50 crore for development of the Dargah. Besides, following requests from local leaders, the Chief Minister also announced Rs 10 lakh for each village and Rs 5 lakh for each thanda falling under Kothur Mandal for setting up of basic amenities. He also assured that guest houses will be developed in 100 acres near the Dargah to accommodate pilgrims, besides developing the area as a popular tourist spot.Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, MLC Saleem and others, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Dargah and offered Chadar of flowers as part of the ritual. He said it was his old promise to visit the Dargah, "I prayed at the Dargah for Telangana Statehood when I was Mahabubnagar MP. The wish has been fulfilled and I have come here to offer Chaddar as Thanksgiving," the Chief Minister said.KCR had earlier visited the Dargah when he was Mahabubnagar MP and prayed for statehood for Telangana. On achieving the Telangana State, the Chief Minister has been visiting temples, mosques, and dargahs again and offering prayers in the State and also outside. Later, KCR had lunch at the Dargah along with the ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, Indrakaran Reddy, MPs Jithender Reddy, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Vinod, MLA Anjaiah Yadav, Srinivas Goud, and other leaders.
