Techie arrested for online harassment of neighbour

Hyderabad, Nov 9: The Cybercrime Police have arrested a techie and his companion on Wednesday on the charge of harassing a middle-aged woman on social media.The suspects are identified as an IT employee Cheerla Chaithanya (41) and Shyam Ninitha (25), both residents of Moulali, had created a fake Facebook account in the name of Kranthi Kumar where they posted personal pictures of the woman along with abusive comments."They threatened her to send those pictures to her friends on social media," said a police official.The woman approached the Cyber Crime Cell of Rachakonda to lodge a complaint. "Investigation revealed that the suspects are neighbors of the victim. Due to some personal grudges with the woman s family, the duo committed the offense," added the official.The accused will be produced in court on Thursday.
