Hyderabad, Nov 9: Three students of the University of Hyderabad were suspended for two years for allegedly facilitating the unauthorized entry of outsiders into the university hostels. Seven others have been suspended for six months for allegedly obstructing wardens and the security staff from discharging their duties.Shockingly, A female student was found in MH-J, a boys hostel, on the UoH campus, on Friday, during a surprise check conducted by the warden and the security staff. On Saturday, over 10 students have issued show-cause notices for blocking the officials and raising slogans against moral policing. The female student has issued a notice for entering a boys hostel. The students were suspended after an inquiry committee submitted its report on Monday.A university spokesperson said, "The competent authority has approved the report and the recommendations of the committee that holds the students guilty of the charges of unauthorised entry of outsiders into hostel rooms, refusal to show identity cards, switching off the hostel lights, sloganeering against the wardens, physical intimidation, verbal assault, and preventing officials from delivering their duties."Mr. Sai Kumar, who was suspended for six months, said,"Students will resist this action. They are targeting us without any proof. We have constantly been targeted. I have received four notices. We will resist this decision at any cost."
