Paris June 16: A shocking news was delivered yesterday.UNICEF a United Nations Children s Agency organization has a published a report recently on the status of children living in the developed nations. The main Highlights of the report are* 20 % of children in rich countries live in relative poverty.* High incomes may not lead to improved outcomes for all children.* All governments have failed to take action in eliminating inequality in child welfare.* Denmark, Iceland, and Norway have fewer children living in poverty with 1 in 10.* 33 % of children live in relative poverty in Israel and Romania.* Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, Slovenia and the Netherlands have less child poverty * Countries belonging to Southern and Eastern European states have the highest rate of child poverty.* 30 percent of children in the USA live in poverty and is higher then the global average of 20 %.* 1 in 8 children faces malnutrition in the developed world. * US and UK children have 1 in 5 children suffer malnutrition * Mexico and Turkey have a high rate of malnutrition such as 1 in 3.* Finland and Japan, students of 1 in 5 don t have the minimum literacy skills.Finally, Let s hope that Developed nations take steps to provide good education and food to children to prevent them from living in Poverty.
