Amaravati, April 26: The Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has started gifting the three Araku Coffee varieties to delegates, instead of mementos and other items.In depth into the matter, The CM had announced that he will be the brand ambassador for Araku Coffee and his gifting ideas prove that he has stuck to his words, sources said, adding that the sales were confined to Vizag till it was introduced at the National Women Parliament following which the product has gained a market in Vijayawada.He recently gave away gift packs prepared by Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) to Korean and Russian delegations who had visited the capital city.Araku Coffee is a popular product of GCC ever since it came into the market in February last year. Gift packs consisting of 200 gram packets of each variety of Araku Coffee is the most sought-after product, sources said."GCC had sent 100 gift packs to the chief minister s office (CMO) a month ago and they have already asked for more. The gift packs are worth Rs.1,100 each, GCC sources said. "We have been receiving complaints about the unavailability of Araku Coffee in Vijayawada. Due to the increased demand, we are now planning to set up franchises similar to that near the petrol bunk at Siripuram," GCC managing director A Ravi Prakash told media.
