Truck rammed into shops, 10 killed

Chittor April 21: In a drastic incident that a minimum of 10 people was killed and more than 20 injured while a truck rammed into shops here on Friday.The Incident took place in Chittoor District one of the police officials saidWhile going to matter, The speeding truck hit an electric pole before ramming into roadside shops on Puthalapattu-Naidupeta Road in Yerpadu.The village was nearer to the ThirpathiPolice said the accident occurred near Yerpadu police station when a group of persons who had come to the police station was standing near the shops.Tirupati Urban Superintendent of Police Vijayalaxmi said most of the casualties were because of electrocution. The injured were shifted to different hospitals in Tirupati and Srikalahasti.
