Four lakh houses for the poor: AP CM

Vijayawada April 16: Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that the govt is planning to construct four lakh houses for the poor in all villages across the state in the next two years, he said here on Saturday.While in depth into matter, At a review meeting held with the housing corporation officials at his residence on Saturday, Naidu directed the officials concerned to maintain transparency in identifying the beneficiaries, construction of houses and their and allotment. He stated that another 500 crores will be released to complete the houses that were in BBL and BL stage and asked Kalava Srinivasulu minister for rural housing, to complete the pending works by six months. When the minister explained to the CM that 309 crores was spent so far on two lakh houses for the poor, the CM further instructed the officials to design every colony with basic amenities such as water, underground drainage, and parks.
