Telugu States bags National Awards

New Delhi April 10: Union government has been selected the "Panchayat Sashakthikaran Puraskar" for the year 2015-16 here on Sunday. The awards will be presented in Lucknow by the hon ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra, and Madya Pradesh have been bagged the first three places while Andhra Pradesh is occupied the fourth place. AP gets 12 national awards while Telangana Gets the 8 national awards respectively.Karimnagar Zilla Parishad (ZP) has been selected for the union government s Panchayat Sashakthikaran Puraskar for the year 2015-16. It is the only ZP from the state that has been selected for the awardPrime Minister Narendra Modi will present the award to ZP Chairperson Tula Uma on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day to be celebrated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on April 24. Along with the award, the ZP will also receive Rs 50,000 cash reward.
