Online film certification system via e-cinepramaan

New Delhi, March 27: The BJP leader and Information & Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday launched the online film certification system, e-cinepramaan, with an aim to censor corruption and promote clean cinema.Minister said the new system of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) will make the entire process of certification transparent and efficient."The new online certification system will be an important step in making the CBFC office paperless and would enable effective monitoring and real-time progress tracking for both CBFC officials and the applicant (producers)," Naidu added."The payments made during the process by the producers will go to Bharat Kosh portal," he stressed.Naidu said the status of each application would be visible online on the dashboard of the producer and the concerned CBFC official.The producers will be informed by SMS or e-mail about the status of their application.
