Andhra Pradesh consumes 105 TMC of Srisailam water

New Delhi, March 21: The Union Minister of Water resources Sanjeev Kumar Balyan has told that, In the water year from 2016-2017 up to March 9, the Andhra Pradesh has taken 105.47TMC of water and Telangana has taken 13.78TMC of water from Srisailam Dam.He was answered the written form of a question, which was asked by the Congress member Palvay Govardhan Reddy in Rajya sabha on Monday."At the same time, AP and Telangana had consumed 92.19TMC, 72.42 TMC s of water from Nagarjuna Sagar Dam", Sanjeev said.He also remembers that The both states have agreed to exchange the minimum required water(MDDL) from the both water dams in Krishna River Management Board meeting on February 8.He further added that, The drinking water should be shared in case of emergency situations under the limits of MDDL agreed by the both the states up to July of this year.
