Amaravathi March 18: A few engineering graduates, who set up their own start-up companies, have met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and shared their success stories. "We are deeply indebted to you. What we are is because of your encouragement and attributed their success to the start-up policy brought out by the government," they told the Chief Minister in a rather emotionally choked voice.They explained about their startups which include ‘Getmytailor , ‘getmybooks , ‘Hirepuppy , ‘Glosy trends .Rajahmundry-based T. Kamalakar, who launched the ‘www.getmytailor , an online store, said that five thousand people got employment. He displayed a shirt with a length of 47 feet and width of 21 feet. The shirt was made using 241 meters cloth. The feat found a place in wonder book of records, he said.The youth said over six lakh students are getting benefit through getmybooks.com. Anyone can hire a product for one day if they are unable to buy it through Hirepuppy.com. A member of the start-ups Himavarshini has been providing marketing facility to handloom products by helping the weavers to improve their designs. GBO business development officer Swapna Sidharth said that these start-ups would achieve a turnover of Rs. 6.5 crore in a span of one year.All of them who studied in Aditya engineering college at Surampalem informed that they adopted earn while learning policy.On the occasion, Mr. Naidu said that youth should come out with innovative and novel ideas to scale greater heights in the life. The government would encourage start-up companies and provide skill development programs for youth.
