Jyothika dubs her voice as background

Hyderabad March 16: Actress Jyothika is well known to the Telugu audience with many hit movies, She has taken a break from movies after the marriage with Suriya, and now she making her comeback with Magalir Mattum. For the Magalir Mattum movie, Jyothika will be dubbing in her own voice — only for the second time after Maayavi (2005). Director Bramma, whose film Kuttram Kadithal won a National Award two years ago, had this to say about working with the actor:"She is a Punjabi, but can understand Tamil when she started acting. I wrote the script in Tanglish. She took the dialogues home and memorized them in a day. And she would turn up for shoots right on time, even if it was at 6 am. She is such a dedicated artiste."Bramma says the film is an emotional ride. "You will enjoy every frame of it with a smile on your face.” When he was done with the story, he thought it was a natural fit for Jyothika. “She listened to it seriously, and at times, would break into laughter.”The film also stars Urvashi and Saranya Ponvannan, and Bramma felt a story centered on women would have the widest possible reach with the title Magalir Mattum — a nod to 1994 original directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao that was produced by Kamal Haasan. It was Suriya who spoke to Kamal to obtain the title rights.
