2 held for Fake Singapore Visa

Hyderabad, March 16: Two persons have been arrested by the Hyderabad Cyberabad police for cheating a man of 3.59 lakh by promising him a Singapore visa through a company named Globel Tech Consultancy services. The accused were identified as Krishna Choudhary and Rohtash Pal, they are from Uttar Pradesh, who had cheated K. Krishna Mohan, a resident of Miyapur.The two accused had sent emails they created in the company s name to people looking for jobs abroad. Mohan too received the email and responded stating that he was interested in going abroad. He emailed his documents and passport copies to the accused and later paid them 3.59 lakh, for which Rohan was sent a fake Singapore visa.During the course of investigation by the cyber cell of the Cyberabad police, officials got details of the bank accounts of various banks and mail addresses which were used to commit the fraud. Officials also recovered the entire sum of 3.59 lakh that Mohan had paid to the duo. The complaint was lodged with the cyber cell on March 3.In the scam, Mohan was subjected to registration, telephonic interviews, and an online written examination. He was even made to go through a medical examination, visa processing and passport verification, followed by insurance processing.However, once he made the payment, the company stopped responding to his calls, and kept him hanging for almost a year.The general public has been requested to approach the police if anyone else has been cheated with the company.
