Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme allegations

Hyderabad, March 15: Many allegations has raised regarding the Kalyana Lakshmi schemes for late sanction of the applications.As we know that, The Telangana State government has announced an increase in the financial assistance, under the Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak scheme, from Rs 51,000 to Rs 75,116.

In Hyderabad, There are 16 Mandals available. From all mandals, The Huge no. of Shadi mubharak applications has received the govt.Totally Rs. 9,597 are received.

Most of the applications came from bandlaguda, asif nagar, charminar, bahadurpura areas. The pending applications are nearly 6,803 from Hyderabad,1374 from Secunderabad.

The sanctioned applications are 1831 from Hyderabad, 1072 from Secunderabad.Still most of the sanctioned applicants does n't received any cheques. There is negligence starting from tahsildars to MLAs, treasury officers.

The Finance Minister Eatela Rajender said that Kalyana Lakshmi, which is the brain child of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has brought happiness and satisfaction to a number of poor families.

There is wide spread appreciation for the scheme which is being implemented in a transparent manner under the supervision of members of State Legislature and other public representatives.

He said that so far an assistance of Rs 51,000 was being extended at the time of marriage of girls belonging to poor families.

There has been a demand to slightly increase the amount taking into account the rise in marriage expenses. Hence the government has decided to increase the assistance amount to Rs 75,116 per beneficiary.
