Suicide attempt for no Special status

Palamaneru March 14: A man tried to commit suicide for not giving special status by the central govt to the Andhra Pradesh state here on Tuesday, police officials said.

The incident took place here in Ongole police station.

According to the police officials, Shanker Reddy who belongs to Palamaneru Mandal, ongole district has been selling tomatoes in Raithu bazar.He frequently gave complaint about the special status here in Ongole police station to the DSP Shanker. DSP had regularly given counseling for the person.



By alleging that the special status will not come in near future he came to police station and tried to commit suicide.Later police came to the spot and saved the man from suicide.

Shanker reddy also said that Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Chandra babu and union minister Venkaiah Naidu is the only reason for not getting the special status for the AP, he angered.
