One more GOVT official held in Scholarship scam

Hyderabad March 11: One more govt officer was arrested by the city police on Friday in the sensational fee reimbursement scam.

While going to matter, The arrested person, the Sub-Treasury officer in Nalgonda District Collectorate, G. Purushotham Reddy, was accused of colluding with some other employees and fraudulently transferring money, meant for the scholarship to other accounts.

Two govt employees have already been arrested by the police in this case.

Investigators said there was more to the scam than meets the eye.

Initially, "It was believed that 71 lakh meant for scholarship was misused amount could be in crores of rupees now," an investigator said
