Gold Smuggling in Hyderabad Airport

Hyderabad, March 07:Now a days, Criminals have using innovative ways to smuggle the goods like gold and diamonds.

While coming to details, Customs officials got arrested a gold smuggler,who arrived from Dubai on an Indigo flight (6E 025) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Sunday night and seized 379 grams of gold from his possession.

While checking the luggage of the offender,customs sleuths detected the presence of a suspicious object in a domestic gas cylinder regulator.

The officials then pulled aside the luggage, Based on specific intelligence, the officers of the Air Intelligence Unit opened the regulator in the presence of the offender and recovered six gold buttons which were concealed in it.

The seized gold is valued at Rs 11.27 lakh.They have filed a case against the smuggler under the Customs Act.
