First time warning - Second time Jail

Hyderabad, March 05: The Telangana Home Minister, Naini Narsimha Reddy has been inaugurated the 'Women and Child Expo' at People's Plaza on the Necklace Road on Saturday.

Speaking after the inauguration, he said that the government has been taking steps to launch SHE teams and Bharosa centers in all districts of Telangana.

He also warned the eve teasers that, "Warning for First time and imprisonment for second time, who are caught by the police in the case of eve teasing", he added.

"We are committed to ensuring the safety of women in the state," the Home Minister said adding that he would take initiative in getting additional funds for SHE teams.

Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Police, Anurag Sharma, said every woman in the city is now aware of SHE teams, which speaks of their popularity and success.

Speaking on the occasion, City Police Commissioner, M Mahender Reddy said the SHE teams were functioning successfully with the active cooperation of the citizens and NGOs.

He appealed to the people to take part in the 5K and 2K run for a crime free Hyderabad to begin at 6 am on Sunday from the People's Plaza on the Necklace Road. Additional Commissioner of Police, in charge of SHE teams, Swati Lakra and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
