Parakala March 3: MLA camp offices should be completed by the end of MAY says MLA Tummala Nagashwar Rao here in Parakala Mandal Warangal District.

He Inaugurated the camp office in Parakala Mandal with Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari here on Thursday.

With an estimate of Rs. 1 crore each, the State Government is constructing office-cum-residence for 104 MLAs and 65 buildings are already grounded, said Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary.

Inaugurating the first office of MLA in the State at Parkal, he said it is a unique idea. There were no office quarters for MLAs for all these decades. Now, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to construct camp office buildings in every Assembly constituency, he said.



"This MLA camp office should become a centre for people to sort out their grievances here itself," he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said the Chief Minister wants all the MLAs to be available to people of the constituency and hence came up with the idea of camp office for all MLAs. He said Rs. 2 crore was sanctioned to set up a junior college in Parkal and Rs. 30 lakh for renovation of tehsildhar office. It was also decided to set up a model school in Parkal soon, he said.

R&B Minister Tummala Nageswar Rao thanked the Chief Minister for renaming the anganwadi workers as anganwadi teachers and for enhancing their salaries. He wanted the angawadi teachers to be more committed in discharging their duties.

Tribal Welfare Minister A. Chandulal said the new camp office will help people meet their MLA as and when they want.

Member of Parliament P. Dayakar, Zilla Parishad chairperson G. Padma, Agros chairman L. Kishan Rao, Member of Parliament Sitaram Naik, Sheep Corporation Chairman K. Rajaiah Yadav and others were present on the occasion.
