A tourist arrested for capturing a Selfie at Charminar

Hyderabad, February 28: The Charminar Police have arrested a tourist for capturing a selfie from a dangerous location on the first floor of Charminar on Monday.

The Charminar police said Naveen, a 40-year-old businessman from Karnataka, who runs a jewelry store, went to the historic monument's first floor and started taking selfies like other tourists.

Police were prohibited for taking selfies, because, many of tourists were caught by some dangerous incidents while taking selfies.So, the police had been taken a decision to avoid selfies at the edges of Charminar.



However, Naveen crossed a fence, which acts as a barricade between visitors and the edge of the wall, and started taking the selfie of his own pictures.Then, nearby On security guards nabbed him and handed him over to the Charminar police or taking photos from a dangerous position.

"We booked a petty case under the Hyderabad police Act. Naveen crossed the fence and started taking selfies from the edge," assistant commissioner of police (Charminar) Ashok Chakravarthy told media.
