Hyderabad, February 23: High Court asked the annual turnover of the Envian Engineers Pvt Ltd, which has been lodged a petition on Swiss Challenge procedure followed by the AP government.

Swiss Challenge method through which AP is proposing to build core area of its capital Amaravathi city, Ms Envian Engineers company approached the high court and said that even this revised format was faulty.

Justice Challa Kodanda Ram who heard this plea sought to know the credentials of Envian to question the plans of the state in this regard.

The judge directed Ms Envian Engineers Pvt Ltd to furnish its annual turnover details for five years to the court and also to prove its competency to substantiate its claim that it can participate in competitive bidding to develop start-up area in Amaravati under the Swiss Challenge method.

The judge was dealing with a case filed by Ms Envian Engineers Pvt Ltd which alleged that the government made amendment to the notification with an intention to benefit the Singapore Consortium.

The firm challenged the validity of GO No 1, issued by the government in January 2017 approving the proposal submitted by the Singapore Consortium, the original project proponent for development of start-up area.

Appearing for Envian, senior counsel D Prakash Reddy said that government had incorporated a clause to enable the consortium to revise its original proposal but it effectively prevented others from revising their offers. The judge wanted the petitioner to establish its credentials first and adjourned the case.
