MLC elections schedule announced

New Delhi, February 22: The Election Commission has been announced the schedule for the Biennial Election to AP and Telangana Legislative Councils to be elected by MLAs.

Seven Members of AP Legislative Council and three Members of the Telangana State Legislative Council will be retiring on March 29 this year.



Notification will be issued on February 28 and March 7 is the last date of making nominations. Date of poll is on March 17 and counting will be held on the same day.

Those retiring from AP are: Kavali Pratibha Bharathi, B Changal Rayadu, C Ramachandraiah, M Sudhakar Rao, Venkata Satish Kumar Reddy Singa Reddy, P J C Shekara Rao and Mohammed Jani.
