Cyber security policy approved by AP cabinet

Vijayawada, February 15: The Cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday approved the A.P. Cyber Security Policy (AP-CSP) 2017 and decided to introduce courses in cyber security, Internet of things, machine learning, financial technologies in colleges from this academic year itself, and reckon 2017-18 as the year of e-Pragati.

The CSP envisages protection to cyber and information assets in public and private spheres through various measures, including capacity-building across the departments and strengthening the law enforcement agencies to better equip them with the rising graph of cyber crimes.

The Cabinet resolved to pay an additional 30,000 as a special grant to building workers under the Chandranna Bima scheme. It cleared the appointment of a security audit consultant for the Intelligence Department through a limited tender system.
