Telangana Dictionary will coming soon

Hyderabad, February 9: Pottisriramulu Telugu University has been putting great efforts to keep alive the language and accent of Telangana people for centuries.

It has collecting several rare words of Telangana slang and trying to create a new dictionary with those words.The dictionary consisting of one Lakh words of Telangana slang.



The process of collection of those rare words will be continued for one year.As a part of this, a comprehensive study is conducted with popular authors, language lovers with various books and to create the dictionary.

The University officials are expected that, The dictionary will get more popular from students and Public.

There are many words of Telangana slang used by the villagers of rural areas in the State.In the Present generation, Most of the urban areas and town's people don't know about those words.

Now, even villagers also ignoring the accent and feels like fashion. Hence, the University officials will be planning to form a committee to gather those word from old people and language experts.

They are targeted that, the dictionary should contain 1 lakh words and don't want to listen to the comments like "A Particular word is not in the dictionary".The committee of three professors has to give the spark to the dictionary.

They will be trying to release the 'Telangana Dictionary' in the next year of Telangana's formation day(June 2, 2018).
