Hyderabad January 30: Helmet is essential for our life.A person should worn helmet at any cost.No matter what your age or level of experience, whenever you ride a bike or engage in other activities during which your head is vulnerable to injury, a helmet should be worn. In fact, many states now have laws that require helmet use.

Wearing a bike helmet reduces the risk of serious head and brain injury by 85%. Helmets should be worn during every ride, no matter how short.

27 police officials were booked for not wearing helmets while driving bikes in Falaknuma and Santoshnagar divisions. The south zone police conducted a special drive to crack down on cops, who violate road rules. Three sub-inspectors were among the 27 caught. “A penalty of Rs 100 was imposed under Section 129/177 of the MV Act on the cops. A GD entry was also made since it was the first offense.

The special drive was conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Falaknuma division. The Sub-Inspectors, Home Guards, and Constables, who were booked, were caught through the secret cameras installed at the entry of police stations and offices.
