Yellow alert for Odisha and west Bengal

A yellow alert has been declared both in Odisha and West Bengal after cyclonic storm 'Yaas' moved slowly north-northwestwards and is very likely to intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours.


Cyclonic storm Yaas is very likely to make landfall near Balasore in north Odisha with a speed of 155 kmph to 165 kmph, gusting to 185 kmph, around noon on May 26, the Met department said on Monday.
