YCP government is scared of public mandate

The government of Andhra Pradesh has been trying its best to postpone the forthcoming local body elections. The YCP government has been citing potential Covid outbreak as the reason behind their reluctance to hold the election.

Today, the high court of Andhra Pradesh has passed the final judgment regarding the local body elections.

The high court instructed the state government to coordinate with the state election commission and hold the election at the earliest.

The court remarked that public health and elections are two key aspects and neither of them can be neglected.

Now, we need to wait and see if the Jagan-led government will co-operate with the election commission and hold the election. All eyes will be on the chief minister YS Jagan's next move in this regard.

Meanwhile, the opposition party, Telugu Desam has been saying that the YCP government is scared of public mandate and that is the reason why they are delaying the election.
