Simhadri, Annamayya producer V Doraswamy Raju passes away!

Veteran Tollywood producer and industrialist V Doraswamy Raju passed away in the wee hours of Monday. Doraswamy Raju reportedly breathed his last at Care Hospitals in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, after suffering a major cardiac arrest.

In his 43-year-old journey in film since 1978, V Doraswamy Raju had produced some memorable films such as Nagarjuna Kirayi Dada, ANR National Award-winning Seetharamaiah Gari Manavaralu, Nag Annamayya and NTR Simhadri etc.

He was also a leading distributor in the Ceded region and distributed more than 750 films. He also produced TV serials, telefilms and even dubbed several Hindi serials into Telugu.

V Doraswamy Raju, also known as Rayalaseema Raju, was the founder of the VMC Organisations (VMC Productions, VMC Pictures, VMC Films, VMC1 Company, VMC Film Distributor, VMC Picture Palace).

He was also the ex-MLA of Nagari constituency in Chittoor, TTD Board Member, Film Chamber President, Distribution Council President and Exhibitors Association President.
