TDP chief will vacate his house immediately!

Despite YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) building numerous pressures and accusing him at number of occasions, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu stay put at his house in Undavalli near Vijayawada. But finally Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government has some happy news to share. The TDP chief will vacate his house immediately.

The state government authorities served a fresh notice asking the inmates to vacate the Chandrababu Naidu karakatta residence in view of the rising floods in Krishna river. This is despite the TDP chief staying in Hyderabad at present in view of Covid-19 restrictions.

It was not just Chandrababu naidu that the notice to vacate have been served around 32 other residents on the banks of the river (karakatta) stating that they are facing flood threat and it would be better for them to vacate them at the earliest. Heavy discharge of water upstream has bloated the river and flood water is fast approaching the houses on the banks, posing a submergence threat.

Chandrababu Naidu residence was located much above even the maximum flood level there. However, every time there is a flood and regardless of its intensity, the local authorities are serving notices on the TDP chief. This time, a flood of 5 lakh cusecs is flowing into the Prakasam barrage. Officials are saying this flood may rise to 7 lakh cusecs in the next 24 hours.

The low-lying lands and interior river islands are facing immediate threat of submersion. TDP leaders's residence is located about five kms upstream of the barrage. TDP says that his residence will not face submersion threat even if there is a flood higher than 7 lakh cusecs.

Reacting to the notices served to TDP chief, YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy tweeted: "You might have got relief from the courts and protected your house from being demolished. Courts might have saved you, but floods won't spare you, Naidu." He suggested that at least now, Chandrababu Naidu should honour the laws and vacate the guest house which was illegally constructed and move to another residence.

Meanwhile, TDP has termed this notice as witch-hunt by YSRCP and Jagan and is trying to make it a big issue out of the given situation.
